With the launch of Xbox 360 backwards compatibility on Xbox One this month, the current generation Xbox console’s games library has expanded enormously. To help Xbox One owners wrap their head around the mountain of new titles now available for them, Microsoft has created a list of their 14 personal Xbox 360 game recommendations for those looking to explore what last gen has to offer.
It is important to note that while these games are completely compatible with the Xbox One, they cannot yet be purchased from within the console’s store. They can however be bought on the Xbox.com website and downloaded afterwards on the Xbox One from the My games & apps section so we’ve added hyperlinks to each Xbox 360 game title to their online store page.
Here’s their list:

The list of Xbox 360 backwards compatible titles currently sits and just over 100 games and Microsoft has committed themselves to adding more in the future and is even accepting suggestions for titles to add from Xbox One console owners. In addition to Xbox 360 backwards compatibility, this month’s Xbox One update also brought a new Windows 10-powered dashboard to the console which sped up navigation significantly and added a renewed focus on activity feeds and game hubs. Microsoft’s virtual assistant, Cortana, did not launch on Xbox One this year but her official arrival has been formally announced for some time in 2016.
Do you agree with their list of titles or do you think there’s another game that should have been included on the list? Let us know your Xbox 360 recommendations in the comments below.
