Microsoft sending out invites for Office 2010 and SharePoint 2010 Service Pack 2By Ron on Monday, Jan 14th, 2013 at 06:21PM
For those of you who are using Microsoft's Office 2010, there is finally some good news. Microsoft is apparently sending out beta invites to select testers for Office 2010 SP2 and SharePoint 2010 SP2. Service Pack 1 for Office 2010 was released nearly a year and a half ago. Not much is known about Service Pack 2, but we would imagine it will contain unreleased fixes made especially for the service pack, as well as previously released fixes, to improve stability, performance, and security. We will keep you updated on what exactly this service pack will contain as details are revealed.
Greetings from Microsoft Connect! You have been invited to participate in the Office 2010 and SharePoint 2010 Service Pack 2 Beta program on Microsoft Connect. Microsoft Connect enables you to connect directly with Microsoft developers, product managers, and other team members to help us make our products the best they can be and meet your needs. If you are already registered on Microsoft Connect, make sure to sign in with your existing registered Windows Live ID account to use this invitation. If you are not registered yet you will be prompted to do so. Accept the Invitation or copy the following URL and paste it into your Web browser's address bar: If you are already registered on Connect, another option to accept or decline your invitation is to access My Dashboard and click on My Pending Actions in the upper right corner. Accept and decline links will be available in the display. If you do not see My Pending Actions, then you are not signing in with the Windows LiveID associated to the Connect account which has this invitation. After accepting the invitation you may be asked to take a survey or submit further information. In some cases your status could be set to Pending in which case the product team will contact you only if you are chosen for participation. To report a problem, visit the help page. If you are not interested in participating you need to take no action. Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to hearing from you! Sincerely, Program Administrator Microsoft ConnectThanks to all who sent this in!
