Tami Reller, Microsoft CFO has talked a little bit about Windows Blue today, revealing more on what the update actually is and when the company will begin properly talking about it. Windows Blue is a codename for an update for Windows 8, which will be available later this year.

Windows Blue’s main priority is “to respond to the customer feedback that we’ve been closely listening to” since the launch of Windows 8 back in October 2012. Tami Reller also mentioned how Windows Blue to adapt to smaller screen sizes, and that these smaller devices will hit the market even before Windows Blue is released.

Reller however did not talk about Windows Blue’s rumoured features such as a Start Button, she also didn’t talk about it’s name, public preview or release cycle. Microsoft are expected to talk more about Windows Blue in the coming weeks, which means we’ll probably learn a few things we don’t know yet.
