Microsoft teaches you how to use folders in Windows Phone 8.1 so you can stay organized (video)

Back in August of this year, Microsoft released Windows Phone 8.1 Update for developers, which introduced a new feature for those who wanted to organize their Start Screen — the ability to place tiles into folders. For those of you who are new to this feature, Microsoft has provided a quick video tutorial on how to use the folders feature.

“Folders let you organize your Start screen the way you want,” Microsoft explains. In order to use the folders feature, you need to have Windows Phone 8.1 Update on your smartphone. This feature is simple — all you have to do is drag and drop a tile on top of another tile in order to create a folder. You can then name the folder and add more tiles to it.
