With Windows 8 approaching, Microsoft is planning to unify all their services under one user interface. That user interface is called Metro, and is coming to all Microsoft products and services, including Windows LIVE, which is now known as Microsoft Account.
According to LiveSide, services like Hotmail and SkiDrive will include a minimal Metro styled header. This header will include access to web messenger and your account details. The new Microsoft Account user-interface is very minimalist, hardly any clutter is seen on screen. The UI updates are expected to launch on all other LIVE services later this year.
