Earlier this month, Nokia's flagship Windows Phone 8 handset, the Nokia Lumia 1520, made its way to Indian shores for INR46,999. All the color options, including red, yellow, white and black, were available with an attractive 17 percent discount, almost INR9,450, according to Nokia's official website. Well, we would like to congratulate you if you managed to grab the handset while it was still available. Nokia lists Lumia 1520 out of stock at the time of writing for all color options.
It's quite surprising to see Nokia Lumia 1520 sell out in India, not because it's rocks a gigantic 6-inch display which may not suit everyone. But, because it's priced at INR46,990 which is almost equal to $760 and is a hefty sum. Is it because the demand is too high, or Nokia didn't ship enough units considering that it's one of the biggest smartphone markets in the world? Think as you may.
It's not sold out on Nokia's official website only, the 6-incher is listed as out of stock on FlipKart, an online retailer in India, as well. FlipKart lists Nokia Lumia 1520 a little bit cheaper compared to Nokia's official website, and is priced at INR45,999 (almost $740).
If you're one of the lucky ones, please share with us your reviews about the Nokia Lumia 1520? For those who couldn't get it, wait until Nokia replenishes the stock. We're hoping it will not take the company too much time.
