Nokia Lumia 929

I’ve literally lost count of how many times we’ve seen the Nokia Lumia 929, aka Icon, being leaked all over the internet, along with a brief appearance on Verizon’s website where someone accidentally jumped the gun by publishing the product page of the handset. Things have gone so far that the handset went on sale on Chinese shores at the popular Taobao marketplace, where it’s available for 3,800 Yuan. Today is no different, and a user who goes by the name of “Cuong Pham Hoang” put up a video of the alleged handset.

The video can whet the appetite of those who are eagerly waiting for the handset to hit retail at Verizon. The video is just under a minute long and shows the handset from every possible angle, and looks quite similar to all the renders and leaked images we’ve seen in the past.

To refresh your memory, the handset is rumored to come with a similar set of specifications as the Nokia Lumia 1520, but in a smaller form factor and with Verizon exclusivity. According to rumors, it rocks a 5-inch display sporting a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 SoC with 2GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage, 20MP camera with PureView technology and Carl Zeiss Optics, a 2,420 mAh battery and runs Windows Phone 8 Lumia Black pre-installed out of the box.

In terms of its launch, we’ve seen several release dates with some mentioning January 16th to be the official day while others were in the favor of the end of December. Surprisingly, both have come and gone, but without any launch. Now, rumors peg the launch to take place next month, possibly at the Mobile World Congress in Spain.
