OneDrive begins rolling out 1TB storage to all Office 365 subscribers

The cloud storage war is on! Every concerned company is offering appealing plans to rope in more customers, and is stepping up their game to compete with others. Last month, Microsoft announced that it would expand the storage allowance for all Office 365 Home and Office 365 Personal subscribers, and the roll out has begun now.

The company has increased the storage capacity from 20GB to 1TB for Office 365 Home as well as Personal subscribers. In addition, college students who have subscribed to Office 365’s University plan will also be able to grab the extra gigs.

The Office 365 University subscription costs $79.99 for four years, compared to Office 365 Home which costs $99.99 annually, and Office 365 Personal at $79.99 for a year. Two weeks ago, Microsoft offered a similar 1TB storage increase for OneDrive for Business users — which includes small, mid and large business companies — as well as offering it as a stand-alone feature for $2.50 per user per month.

For those who haven’t subscribed to any Office 365 plans, they get 15GB free storage (above 7GB), and can grab the extra 100 gigs for $1.99 per month, or extra  200 gigs for $3.99/month. Whereas, those with Business plan can add extra gigs for $0.20 per GB.
