More Windows 10 Redstone 2 builds arriving next week for Windows Insiders

Jack Wilkinson

This week has been fairly quiet when it comes to the Windows Insider program. The prominent team that we know as being the Windows Insider Team, consisting of well-known personalities such as Dona Sarkar and Jen Gentleman have been quiet in terms of upcoming changes and we haven’t seen new builds either.

The reason for the quietness is due to the current planning phase that Microsoft is going through for Redstone 2. That phase is now coming to an end and, according to our sources, Insiders will receive new builds next week from the Redstone 2 branch on the Fast Ring.

Meetings surrounding Redstone 2 have been run by the Directors of the Windows Fundamentals teams, which consists of:

  • Bill Karagounis – Director of Program Management OS Fundamentals
  • Bambo Sofola – Director of Quality
  • Laura Janet Butler – Director of Windows Engineering Fundamentals

Teams around the Windows & Devices Group have been tasked with pitching their ideas for Redstone 2 and showing off what they’ve worked on so far. It also sets out priorities for the upcoming development period.

As these meetings have now come to a conclusion for the most part, the development teams will be picking up their keyboards and sending us new builds shortly.
