Not too long ago, the ex-Microsoft CEO resigned from the company’s board of directors, and mentioned this fall is going to be a hectic one since he plans to teach a new class alongside the beginning of a new NBA season. It turns out Ballmer will be teaching an MBA class at Stanford Graduate School of Business this fall.

As per a Business Insider report, Steve Ballmer will join Susan Athey, another faculty member, for a strategic management course called “STRAMGT588: Leading organizations” this fall. Athey mentioned he has been working with Ballmer since Spring to design the course outline, which already has 80 students pre-enrolled.

“We pair practitioners with academics scholars in teaching the MBA program, so Steve Ballmer and Susan Athey will be an example of that practitioner-scholar pairing,” says Helen Chang, assistant director of communications at Stanford’s Business School.

It’s not just Stanford, Ballmer is also expected to teach a class at University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business in Spring.
