Windows 8.1 lockscreen

Curious to see what it would be like to have alarms displayed on your Windows 8 lockscreen? Check out this video showcasing this new upcoming feature included in the upcoming Windows 8.1 update.

For those who are not familiar with this, Windows 8.1 will feature the ability to select an app to be used as an alarm on your lockscreen. With a little tweaking, one user was able to make this feature work in the recently leaked build of 9385. As you can see from the video below or the screenshot above, the alarm feature displayed on the lockscreen looks pretty damn cool.

If you missed it, the new features included in build 9385 feature an updated Movie Moments and Alarms apps, as well as a better PC settings app. Microsoft is expected to release a preview build of Windows 8.1 (codename Windows Blue) during Build 2013 in June.
