Windows Phone 8.1 share keeps growing, Lumia 520 still the most popular device worldwide

At the end of every month, the folks at AdDuplex release their monthly stats, detailing performance and various statistics of the Windows Phone operating system. As of June 2014, Windows Phone 8.1 now commands 7.7% of the Windows Phone market share worldwide. Not surprisingly, the Nokia Lumia 520 is still the most popular Windows Phone device worldwide.

According to AdDuplex, the latest Windows Phone 8.1 is running on almost eight percent of the devices, which is a 2.5% increase compared to the previous month. As for the best-selling Windows Phone device, Lumia 520, it has declined from 33 percent to almost 31 percent in the latest report, but it still stays as the top device. The second and third spot is still capture by the Lumia 625 with 7.3 percent and Lumia 925 with 6.9 percent, respectively.

AdDuplex has also seen unreleased Windows Phone devices in their logs. One of them is a mid-range Lumia running Windows Phone 8.1 with a 5-inch 720p screen. Other mysterious Windows Phone devices range from ALLView, Lenovo, Longcheer, JSR, Micromax, K-Touch, Prestigio, BLU, Nokia and more.
